An old friend of mine went out with Kev when he was 18. Not Kev, my mate. He told me - not Kev , my pal - that the reason he stopped seeing Kev was because when they were in bed together, Kev never took his eyes off himself in the mirror. Considering how attractive my teenage friend was, that was weird. When I suggested that Kev was looking at them both, my friend said no, because of where the mirror was, Kev could only see himself. He said Kev was the vainest, most smug, self-satisfied man he'd ever met then, and, when we revisited this unhappy memory recently, still is to this day. Kev's bruv sounds odd: Notice me, famous sibling. Look, I'm writing to English publications to defend you! Sad.
